TRF Antibiotic Consortia

A significant unmet need in health care has involves the lack of development of new antibiotics.  An increasing number of patients are suffering from bacterial diseases that do not respond to currently available antibacterial drugs. In light of the movement of industry away from antibacterial drug development the TRF is committed to developing a pipeline of opportunities with the greatest potential to keep pace with continued pressures leading to antibacterial resistance.  With proper funding, the TRF would plan to launch with a Proof of concept program and, in parallel, propose other pipeline opportunities.
